Reduced VAT rates and the validity of issued binding VAT rate information (WIS)

On February 1, 2022, some of the previously issued binding rate information (WIS) will expire. This is due to the temporary reduction of VAT rates on food, fertilizers and fuel. This means that taxpayers will have to apply for new WIS. However, the Ministry of Finance says that it will process such requests on a priority basis.

As a reminder, taxpayers file applications for binding rate information (WIS) to confirm the correct VAT rate to be applied when selling a given good or providing a given service.
