Costs of divorce in Poland
The costs of a divorce in Poland depend on many factors, primarily on the complexity of the case, the amount and nature of the evidence.
When starting a divorce in Poland, you should bear in mind the following fees:
- divorce petition – 600 zł court fee,
- translations – approx. 50 zł for one page, all documents must be submitted to the court with a Polish translation, of course we will help you, order the translation and contact with the translator,
- marriage certificate and children’s birth certificates from Civil Registry Office in Poland – 33 zł fee for one copy,
- power of attorney – 17 zł fee,
- cost of legal representation – remuneration agreed individually with attorney,
- evidence – e.g. remuneration of the court expert (e.g. opinion of psychologist expert regarding contacts between parents and children),
- mediation – remuneration of the mediator.
If you decide to request in your divorce petition to divide the joint marital property the additional cost would be:
- 300,00 zł or 1.000,00 zł court fee for petition for division of joint property – the amount depends on whether the property division project is consistent – 300,00 zł or not – 1.000,00 zł,
- petition for division of marital joint property is voluntary and it will be recognized by the court if the division of property does not extend the divorce proceeding.
