SandboxDLT – blockchain test environment by KNF

On March 17, 2021, Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) concluded an executive agreement with the National Depository for Securities (KDPW), which defines the principles of cooperation in launching the SandboxDLT environment and supporting its development. The agreement in question is a continuation of the cooperation agreement concluded back in 2019.

The SandboxDLT will be another test environment, after the already launched SandboxPSD2, as part of the KNF Virtual Sandbox program. Ultimately, the possibility of testing solutions via SandboxDLT will be an optional extension of the current Innovation Hub program, within which market participants can consult their innovative solutions in the area of distributed ledger technology (hence SandboxDLT) with KNF experts.
