Modernization of the IT system for handling statutory tasks of the GIIF

As part of the “GIIF Information System 2.0” project, the Financial Information Department of the Ministry of Finance is starting work on the implementation of goAML software.

The software is a key UN response to threats to the stability and security of financial systems, enabling two-way communication with Obligated Institutions and cooperating entities.

Preparations for the implementation of the goAML software began in August 2022 through consultations on structuring the information exchanged between the GIIF and Obligated Institutions. The project schedule envisages making the xsd schema available for the next round of consultations in Q3 2024, and the production launch of the goAML software is planned for the end of Q3 2025.

The GIIF informs that the process of modernization of IT systems will require adjustment of procedures and IT systems at the Obligated Institutions. Close cooperation, ensuring a constant flow of information and necessary training are planned. A detailed presentation on the goAML software and the timetable for the project is planned for June 2024, and official invitations will be sent out in early May this year.
