Temporary Trusted Profile – the Ministry’s reaction COVID-19

On April 23rd 2020 the Ministry of Digitization announced that now it is possible to apply online for the so-called temporary Trusted Profile, which is an authentication method that can be used to take care of multiple public affairs. What’s new is that the Ministry uses video verification methods to grant this temporary Trusted Profile.

In practice this means that the applicant does not need to visit the authentication office, nor possess a bank account with the option to apply for the regular Trusted Profile.

To apply for the temporary Trusted Profile the applicant needs to:

  1. visit the pz.gov.pl website and open an account,
  2. provide all necessary personal / contact details,
  3. choose a date and time for the video conference call with the authentication office.

After the vide verification is finalized, the temporary Trusted Profile is active and ready to use. The only drawback is that it is valid for 3 months.
