Remote work during isolation at home

On December 5th, 2020 an amendment to the Act on specific solutions related to the preventing, counteracting and combating COVID-19, other infectious diseases and crisis situation caused by them, and some other acts entered into force. In today’s alert, we will present the change in labour law, introduced in the above-mentioned Act, which allows employee and other employed persons, to perform remote work durig their isolation at home.

The above-mentioned provisions of the Act, during the state of epidemic threat or the state of epidemic, provide the possibility of remote work by an employee or other employed persons, in the period, of obligatory isolation at home. The above-mentioned persons may work- specified in the contract, with consent of the employer or the other employing persons. In such case, the employee or other employed persons are not entitled to sickness cash benefit, but are entitled to remuneration for work.

The conditions of remote work, performed during isolation at home are specified in article 3 paragraph 3-8 Anti-Crisis Shield law.
